In the exciting role of Labeling Specialist, you will have responsibility and authority design and format all labeling for new and existing products under the direction of the Enabling Technologies Labeling department, while adhering to regulatory guidelines and the Corporate Brand Strategy for packaging and labeling. Additionally, you will be responsible for controlling and tracking labeling approval requests.

The Cranial and Spinal Technologies business develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes.

A Day in the Life

  • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain cloud applications
  • Maintain and monitor commercial apps by tracking error reporting, updates and other field issues
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Document work per medical device standards
  • Write and Execute software validation protocols
  • Write test reports documenting validation
  • Follow internal software development, validation and cybersecurity procedures to comply with medical regulations
Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned.
  • Creates, reviews, and reproduces content required for labeling medical products using professional graphic design software.
  • Ensures that labeling, art, film, and plate proofs meet all medical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors changes in labeling regulations in the US and/or abroad.
  • Monitor, evaluate and recommend improvements to labeling processes, quality, systems tools and/or policies.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience
Nice to Have
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • High degree of accuracy and strong proofing skills
  • Problem-solving, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Working knowledge of Labeling Software (e.g. Loftware Spectrum, NiceLabel, EnLabel, Prisym)
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Skills with Adobe CS3 (or later) publishing suite of software
  • Ability to use computers and other graphic-arts related technology
  • Ability to manage structured content (such as HTML, XML)
  • Ability to understand the Engineering Change Request (ECR) process using a document control system

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
