Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures and techniques, with experience in both clinical and industrial laboratory settings. This role involves conducting experiments, performing quality control, and ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). The Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in supporting research and development initiatives while maintaining the integrity of laboratory operations.

Responsibilities



Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols and procedures. Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of results. Maintain compliance with FDA regulations, GLP, and CGMP standards. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from experiments and tests. Utilize laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry and management. Assist in the preparation of samples for microbiological, histological, and molecular biology analyses. Collaborate with research teams to support scientific research projects. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness. Document findings accurately in accordance with laboratory protocols. Apply knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology as needed.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as biology, microbiology, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience in an industrial or clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory techniques including histology, molecular biology, and microbiology. Understanding of GLP, CGMP, FDA regulations, and quality control processes. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for data collection and analysis. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and conducting experiments safely. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Knowledge of scientific research methodologies is an asset. Strong math skills for precise calculations related to experiments. Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
