Strategy

  • Perform client on boarding and renewal processes primarily related to KYC documentation for Corporate segment (CDD/GIC)
  • Identify and escalate blockages in the overall process in terms of system, process, compliance content etc.
  • Support RMs in the assessment of risk issues detected in the due diligence process (adverse media, sanction links, PEP links, nesting scenarios, etc), through the different forms. The final risk and responsibility remain in the RM (supported by COBAM), through his recommended risk, when supporting the case.
Business

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Ensure the US/COBAM segments to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Conduct Principles: Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.] *
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Appropriate engagement with NY DFS/ NY FED and delegate monitors
Processes CDD/ GIC / Review
  • Review weekly CDD report to identify upcoming cases for client segment, achieve the target of 10 CDD and 10 GIC approvals per calendar month and support the CET in reaching team target in the calendar month
  • Manage and execute on all the delegated portfolio inclusive of Triggers, Annual Sanctions, AS Updates and SDM Activities
  • Work with client team to identify cases that are still required vs. cases that should be off-boarded
  • Identify missing/ additional documents required for CDD (et al) reviews
  • Follow-up and collect documents from client (depending on client sensitivities)
  • Review documentation received from Client and/or RM to:
  • Ensure documentation \xe2\x80\x9ccorrectness\xe2\x80\x9d (i.e. that the document is \xe2\x80\x9ctrue\xe2\x80\x9d/ accurate and conforming to relevant standards)
  • Ensure documentation \xe2\x80\x9ccompleteness\xe2\x80\x9d (i.e. that all documents required for CDD obtained)
  • Scan, upload and correctly tag the documents per global documentation standards
  • Liaise with CET and FCR teams locally (if exists) and in the network
  • Respond to segment relevant KYC requests from the network as appropriate
  • FATCA, CRS - sourcing and validation of client tax documents when required / on site advise for exceptional circumstances
  • Initiate review cases on RMWB and track to completion
  • Submit the cases to CET Makers and perform \xe2\x80\x9cMake\xe2\x80\x9d tasks when required.
  • Participate in the testing for new bank systems replacing the IDV tool and the eCDD+
Risk Management & Governance
  • Fast TAT and high accuracy and completeness rate on account opening and CDDs
  • Maintain T-90 outreach on portfolio to manage horizon risk and ensure client lead time to receive documentation
  • Improved client experience through reduction in rework rates for CDD cases
  • Maintaining the OD percentage within the agreed threshold for the respective segment
Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Build and maintain working relationships with front office teams and our clients to improve overall IMO service and client experience
  • Work closely and support hub team and our partners in GBS as part of better together values to achieve overall team targets
  • Engage with the FCC and CDD Risk where necessary to solve complex queries and CDD governance
  • Support other teams within IMO to support the end-to-end client journey and experience

Qualification
  • Good background of CDD both policy and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of CDD covering Corporate and Financial Institutions clients.
  • Knowledge of Financial Crime risk / Anti-Money Laundering and Credit related Risk is an advantage
  • An analytical and enquiring mind.
  • Good attitude and work well within teams is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills both in English and Spanish.
  • Diligent and detail oriented

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 95, 570 $ to 155, 301 $ . The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location.
