Duties

Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality and consistency. Support cooking activities by helping chefs with basic cooking tasks and ensuring timely meal assembly. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies to uphold food safety standards. Help with food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients in compliance with health regulations. Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, equipment use, and sanitation practices to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.

Skills

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices. Experience with banquet catering or large-scale food production is a plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions. Familiarity with proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards mandated by health authorities. Hospitality experience that emphasizes guest satisfaction and service excellence. Basic culinary skills such as chopping, mixing, plating, and understanding of flavor profiles.
