Stella's Kitchen and Bakery is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented
Kitchen Lead
to lead our early morning operations. This role is key to ensuring a smooth, efficient, and safe start to each day. You'll work closely with the Kitchen Manager to oversee daily prep, uphold food quality, maintain cleanliness, and keep our team running like clockwork.
Schedule:
4:00 am to 12:00 pm
Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday
Key Responsibilities:
Open the kitchen and execute back-of-house start-up procedures
Lead morning prep to ensure stations are ready for service
Jump in where needed--on the line, in prep, or assisting with dishes
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen at all times
Monitor and enforce food safety standards, including temperature checks
Assist with ordering, receiving, and proper storage of food and supplies
Complete regular walk-throughs and temperature logs
Support food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
Foster teamwork between front-of-house and back-of-house staff
Communicate clearly and professionally with all team members
Qualifications:
Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays 4:00 AM
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of restaurant prep or cook experience (fast food not applicable)
Previous supervisory experience preferred
ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
Able to lift and carry 50-75 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Comfortable handling cleaning agents and following sanitation protocols
