We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced food service environment and develop culinary skills. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; a passion for food and a strong work ethic are essential. The Kitchen Helper plays a vital role in maintaining food safety standards and supporting meal service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, peeling, and basic food handling tasks Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety standards Prepare ingredients for cooking and plating, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Help with food storage, labeling, and inventory management Support serving staff during meal service periods when necessary Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment Assist with catering events or special functions as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience in food industry, restaurant, or catering environments is a plus but not mandatory Basic knife skills and familiarity with cooking techniques preferred Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures Ability to perform meal and food preparation tasks efficiently and accurately Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions carefully Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends or evenings if required Passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn new skills
