Responsibilities:

Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas. Load and unload dishwashers, and hand-wash items as needed. Dispose of garbage and clean garbage containers regularly. Stock supplies such as food, utensils, and cleaning products in the kitchen and storage areas. Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries. Perform other duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor or chef.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Good physical condition: able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work is performed in a hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment.
