Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Help to support our culinary team in preparing and serving nutritious meals. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for food service, food safety, and kitchen operations. The Kitchen Help will assist with meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment to ensure efficient daily operations.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and menu plans Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene standards during meal service Support meal assembly, plating, and presentation for various dietary needs Aid in menu planning and ingredient organization to streamline kitchen workflow Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other culinary tools Assist with catering events and special meal requests as needed Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Serve food to residents or customers in a courteous and professional manner Support dietary department staff with meal delivery and inventory management

Requirements

Previous experience in dietary services, food preparation, or restaurant settings is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Culinary experience including knife skills, cooking, and meal preparation is advantageous Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and food industry practices is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward supporting the culinary team Basic understanding of food service operations and customer service principles Prior kitchen or dietary aide experience is desirable but not mandatory
