Position Overview

The Kitchen & Bath Sales Designer at Colonial Marble & Granite is responsible for guiding customers through the selection and design process for cabinetry, countertops, tile, and related products. This role combines creativity, product knowledge, and sales expertise to help clients bring their vision to life, while ensuring projects meet their budget, style, and functional needs.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and able to balance design aesthetics with practical sales results.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Sales

Greet and assist customers in the showroom, creating a welcoming and professional experience. Conduct needs assessments to understand customer goals, budget, and design preferences. Present product options, explain material differences, and guide clients toward the best solutions for their space. Prepare detailed design proposals, quotes, and layouts for customer review. Follow up with customers to close sales and maintain relationships for repeat business.

Design & Product Selection

Utilize design tools and software to create kitchen and bath layouts. Recommend cabinetry, countertops, tile, and accessory selections that align with client needs. Stay informed on current design trends, product features, and vendor offerings.

Project Coordination

Work with internal departments, including Operations and Installation, to ensure smooth project execution. Review order accuracy and ensure all specifications are documented. Monitor project timelines and assist with resolving design or product-related issues.

Showroom & Administrative Duties

Maintain organized, visually appealing displays and product samples. Assist in inventory checks and product sample replenishment. Keep CRM records updated with customer interactions, quotes, and orders.

Qualifications

Previous sales or design experience in kitchen, bath, or home improvement preferred (but not required -- we will train). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of design concepts, measurements, and spatial planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with design software is a plus. Ability to work weekends and some evenings as required.
