We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in providing high-quality meals and excellent service. Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and basic culinary tasks under supervision Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner Restock supplies and organise ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to uphold hygiene standards Support catering events by setting up and clearing serving areas as required

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation processes Experience with food preparation, serving, or general kitchen duties is advantageous Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills with attention to detail Flexibility to work during busy periods, including weekends if necessary Enthusiasm for learning about culinary techniques and kitchen operations
