We're seeking a reliable and hardworking

Kitchen Assistant

to join our food service team in Morgan County. In this role, you'll help prepare and package meals, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and support smooth daily kitchen operations.

What You'll Do

Assist the Assistant Central Kitchen Site Manager with meal preparation and advance food prep based on the menu. Help package meals individually for delivery. Work with the Central Kitchen Site Manager to cook and prepare meals. Ensure compliance with health department food and sanitation regulations and Area Agency on Aging program requirements. Fill in as needed when staff are absent, which may include meal delivery and completing related paperwork.

What We're Looking For

High school diploma or GED required. One or more years of related kitchen or food service experience preferred (or equivalent education and experience). Must complete a Safe Serve/Food Safety Course (training provided if not already certified). Must successfully pass BCI/FBI and six additional background checks. Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation. You may be required to drive personal vehicle on agency business.

Pay:

Starting at $12.10 per hour

Schedule:

Part-time, 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
