Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kill Floor Worker to join our food processing plant. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality control within our meat processing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety protocols, mechanical knowledge, and knife skills necessary for efficient meat cutting and processing. Responsibilities

Perform meat cutting and processing tasks with precision using appropriate knife skills and tools Ensure compliance with OSHA, HACCP, and food safety regulations throughout all operations Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas, equipment, and tools regularly Assist with packaging products efficiently while adhering to quality standards Monitor product quality and report any deviations or safety concerns promptly Follow all safety protocols related to meat processing, equipment operation, and sanitation procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety and manufacturing processes Document production activities accurately in accordance with company policies

Experience

Prior experience in food processing, meat cutting, or food production is highly desirable Knowledge of OSHA regulations, HACCP standards, and sanitation practices within a food processing plant Mechanical knowledge related to equipment used in meat processing is a plus Demonstrated knife skills and familiarity with packaging techniques in the food industry Understanding of food safety principles specific to the meat processing environment Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or food industry setting preferred
