This person will be the mastermind behind the magic -- helping plan, organize, and lead our

After-School

,

Days-Out

, and

Summer Camp

programs.

If you're someone who can keep a cool head under pressure, work seamlessly with a team, and juggle details like a pro (while still smiling), this role is for you! You'll also supervise our amazing high school and early college staff and volunteers who bring the programs to life every day.

The Sensory Zone is an inclusive, therapeutically designed play space focused on senses exploration and Play with Purpose -- helping kids of all abilities explore and grow through sensory experiences. You'll work closely with families and children who may be 'neurospicey' or neurotypical, creating a space that's welcoming, playful, and empowering for everyone.

Pay:

Starting at $17/hr (based on experience)

Hours:

30+ hrs/week (afternoons & evenings; day hours during school breaks + summer -- no weekends!)

School Year schedule:



Monday 12 - 6pm | Tuesday 12 - 6pm | Wednesday 12 - 6pm | Thursday 9am - 6pm | Friday 9am - 6pm

You'll shine in this role if you are:



Working toward or have a degree in Education, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, or a related field. 21+ with a clean driving record and ready to drive our Sensory Zone vehicle to pick up kiddos or lead field trips. A creative planner who loves designing activities that make learning FUN. A detail-driven organizer who can coordinate staff schedules, speakers, field trips, and activities without breaking a sweat. A great communicator who connects easily with kids, families, and coworkers. Calm, patient, and flexible -- even when life (and kids!) get a little wild.

Your daily adventures will include:



Designing sensory-rich, hands-on activities that teach through play. Supporting emotional regulation and smooth transitions during group time. Supervising and mentoring our program staff team. Driving, coordinating, and ensuring safety during school pickups and field trips. Working closely with the owner to make every program a hit. Assisting at the front desk and other responsibilities as discussed

We'll train you in:



Pediatric Mental Health Working with Neurodiverse Children Sensory Processing & Play with Purpose De-escalation Techniques Basic Sign Language

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
