Description
The Estill County Area Technology Center is looking for an experienced, hard-working, dedicated person to help students in Estill County and surrounding counties reach their career goal in the area of Welding. This position is very rewarding as you see students in grades 9-12 further their education and complete their career path.



The Kentucky Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education, Estill County Area Technology in Irvine, KY has an opening for a Welding Instructor.



Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeaches occupational preparatory classes within a career and technical education program. Performs other duties as required.

In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers' Retirement System.



Applicants and employees in this classification may be required to submit to a drug screening test and background check.



Salary: dependent on rank and experience.

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION:

Must hold the Rank III Kentucky teaching certificate in the subject area to be taught;



OR



Must hold a Kentucky Statement of Eligibility in the subject area to be taught;



OR



Four years of appropriate work experience, two of which must be in the last five years.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):

Must be able to acquire the personal national certifications applicable to the program area (A+Cert, NCCER, ABC, AGC, ASE). Applicant can be hired without the needed personal certifications but must acquire the needed certification at the next available testing period.
