Overview

We are looking for someone (Sat-Sun- Mon, 9:30am to 5 pm). Also Wends (9:30am to 1:30pm). This job is for all year long and permanent. Opportunity for extra hours when busy.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the well-being and safety of our furry residents through attentive pet care, cleaning, and handling. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure every pet feels comfortable, loved, and cared for during their stay. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while developing valuable skills in animal handling, grooming, and basic veterinary support.

Duties

Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and monitoring health status Handle dogs and other pets with gentle restraint and proper animal handling techniques to ensure safety and comfort Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals clean and healthy Support owner by observing animals' behavior, assisting with basic veterinary procedures, and maintaining cleanliness of treatment areas Engage in puppy training activities to promote good behavior and socialization among pets Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move kennels, supplies, or large animals safely Maintain detailed records of animal care routines, behaviors, and any medical or behavioral concerns We are a small dog breeding kennel.

Skills

Strong animal handling skills and puppy handling. Experience in pet behavior management to promote positive interactions Knowledge of pet grooming techniques to ensure animals are well-maintained and comfortable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics Familiarity with pet sitting duties and providing compassionate pet care in various settings
