We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kennel facility and training facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and welfare, ensuring that all pets receive the highest level of attention and service. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage both staff and animal care effectively.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily kennel operations, including staff management and scheduling. Ensure the health and safety of all animals in the facility through proper care and monitoring. Oversee feeding, grooming, and exercise routines for all pets. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kennel environment. Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly. Manage records related to pet care, vaccinations, and customer information. Collaborate with veterinary professionals for any medical needs or emergencies. Train and mentor staff on best practices in animal handling and care.

Experience

Previous experience in a kennel management role or similar position is required. Background in veterinary assistance or as a veterinary technician is advantageous. Strong skills in animal handling, pet grooming, and general pet care are essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals or equipment. A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
