Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for animals in our facility, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to handle various breeds and temperaments effectively.

Duties

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas throughout the hospital to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Perform basic animal handling tasks, including restraint techniques when needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and behaviors. Assist with heavy lifting of animals or equipment as required. Support veterinary team with tasks related to animal care.

Requirements

Previous experience in kennel care or similar animal handling roles is required. Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus. Strong skills in pet grooming, pet sitting, or customer service are beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and their pets. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care. Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
