Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong understanding of various animal handling techniques. This role involves providing exceptional care for pets in a kennel environment, ensuring their safety and well-being while also maintaining cleanliness and organization within the facility.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns. Support pet owners with customer service inquiries regarding their pets' care and well-being. Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning large areas.

Qualifications

Previous experience in kennel settings or animal care facilities is preferred. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks throughout the day. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays (with holiday pay).
