Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need while staying with us. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and exercising. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kennel areas to ensure a safe environment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their animals' needs and behaviors. Support training initiatives by working with dogs on basic commands and socialization.

Qualifications

Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred (kennel experience is a plus). Familiarity with dog training techniques and veterinary practices is highly desirable. Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is an advantage. Strong skills in customer service and communication. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds). Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is beneficial. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
