Duties

Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards. Assist with pet handling during cleaning routines, ensuring animals are safely restrained and comfortable. Support pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene care. Help with pet sitting duties by monitoring animals' behavior and providing companionship when needed. Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments to ensure safety for both pets and team members. Handle heavy lifting of supplies, bedding, or equipment to maintain an organized workspace. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, animal movements, and any incidents or observations.

Skills

Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain dogs and other pets. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and pet care best practices. Experience working with animals in a veterinary or kennel setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with dog training principles and veterinary procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role. Excellent customer service skills to communicate positively with pet owners and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts. Attention to detail in cleaning routines, record keeping, and observing animal health indicators.
