We are looking for a passionate and reliable Kennel Attendant to join our team.

Job Overview:

As a Kennel Attendant, you will play a vital role in the daily care of the animals in our facility. You will ensure that all pets receive the highest level of care, hygiene, and attention. Your responsibilities will include cleaning kennels, play times, feeding and exercising animals, and monitoring their health and behavior. A successful candidate will have a love for animals and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment.

- Feed and provide fresh water to all animals according to dietary guidelines.

- Exercise and walk dogs, ensuring they receive adequate physical activity and mental stimulation.

- Monitor and record the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor or veterinarian.

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

- Maintain accurate records of animal care, feeding schedules, and health observations. - Assist with grooming, bathing, and other care tasks as needed.

- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners and addressing their concerns or inquiries.

- Follow all safety and health protocols to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff.

- Other added responsibilities as assigned from management

Preferred qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in animal care or veterinary assistance is a plus.

- Previous experience working with animals in a kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting preferred.

- Strong understanding of animal behavior and handling techniques.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with animal care.

- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
