We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets. This role involves daily interaction with animals, ensuring their well-being, and maintaining cleanliness in the kennel facilities.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
Assist with dog training and socialization activities as needed.
Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and behaviors.
Assist in administering medications or treatments as directed by veterinary staff.
Requirements
Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred; kennel experience is a plus.
Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior is beneficial.
Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical tasks associated with animal care.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
