Seeking a mature, dependable individual for a part time Kennel Assistant closing shift position. Approximately 15+/- hours per week. Shift starts between 12 pm and 3 pm and ends between 9 pm and 10 pm. Will also include 1-2 "on call shifts" per week. Must be available on weeknights, weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional animal care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting with daily kennel operations. Must have effective communication & organization skills, an eye for attention to detail, and be able to work with owner/other team members as well as independently.
Responsibilities
include but not limited to:
Meal preparation, feeding and supervision
Supervised individual let outs into the play yard
Adhering to our strict daily disinfecting & cleaning protocol
Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and observations
Closing shift duties
Job Requirements include:
Passion for pet care
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to read & follow instructions
Knowledge of & ability to handle dogs & cats of all breeds & sizes
Animal care experience
Must be 18 years old
Knowledge of animal care best practices and safety protocols
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and record keeping
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
