We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for animal care and have experience in handling various breeds and sizes of dogs. Duties

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising dogs. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Assist with the administration of medications as directed by customer . Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the customer . Engage with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and support. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques when necessary Participate in regular team meetings to discuss animal care protocols and improvements.

Qualifications

Previous experience in kennel settings or similar environments is preferred. Strong skills in dog handling and animal care practices. Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is beneficial. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for animal handling tasks. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
