We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent care for animals in our facility. You will ensure their safety, health, and well-being while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising them. Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas by regularly cleaning and sanitizing. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the supervisor. Assist with grooming tasks as needed, including bathing and brushing. Support pet owners by providing excellent customer service during drop-off and pick-up times. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques when necessary. Assist with training exercises for dogs under supervision. Participate in heavy lifting tasks related to animal care supplies or equipment.

Skills

Experience in pet sitting or dog training is required. Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus. Previous experience as a veterinary technician or in a kennel environment is beneficial. Strong animal handling skills, including the ability to safely restrain animals when needed. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
