Job Summary

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds through technology and engineering education? Join S2STEM as a part-time After-School Teacher and be a guiding force in our Engineering, Technology, Game Development, or Robotics Clubs for children aged 6 and above. We offer flexible hours, with classes from 3 pm to 6 pm on weekdays and Saturday mornings. (Potential to become a full-time)

Responsibilities:

Create and deliver age-appropriate coding, technology, and engineering lessons Develop comprehensive lesson plans enriched with visual/audio aids and real-world applications Cultivate a vibrant and secure learning environment Maintain a well-organized and orderly classroom Foster positive relationships with students, counselors, and teacher assistants Adhere to S2STEM's safety protocols and guidelines Collaborate with fellow educators and staff, actively participating in feedback sessions

Qualifications:

Proficiency in one or more of the following technologies and engineering kits/robots Familiarity with programming concepts and different coding platforms e.g.

Scratch, code.org, web design, Python, Java, and Game development

(a plus) Experience with engineering tools such as

Micro:bits, Piper kits, electronic circuits

like littleBits, SnapCircuits etc Knowledge of robotics platforms like

WeDo2.0, SpikePrime, Vex Robots,

Dash/Dot/Cue, Ev3, and more

Genuine passion for working with children Teaching or coaching experience with elementary/middle school kids (a plus) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized and dedicated Fun, creative, and energetic approach to teaching Uphold strong moral values and discipline A degree in Technology or Engineering, a Teaching Certificate, or teaching experience in a middle/elementary school setting (a plus) Open to learn new tools, techniques, and teaching methods (S2STEM offers guidance and training for the first 3 months)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
