learn inside a professional media operation
and contribute to content that reaches a large, real audience.
The Role
We are hiring a
Junior Video Editor
to support our core production team.
This is an
entry-level, in-house position
for a detail-oriented editor with solid fundamentals, basic motion familiarity, and strong awareness of current social media trends. You'll work closely with producers and senior editors to turn recorded content into engaging, platform-ready videos.
You are not expected to own strategy or creative direction -- but you should be able to
think intelligently about social content
, understand what performs well on major platforms, and contribute ideas during the editing process.
This is not a freelance or remote role.
What You'll DoEditing & Content Support
Edit long-form and short-form video using clear direction, examples, and templates
Cut podcasts, interviews, and recorded segments into clean, engaging clips for social platforms
Apply feedback and revision notes accurately and efficiently
Learn how pacing, structure, and visual choices affect engagement and retention
Social & Platform Awareness
Stay up to date on trends across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms
Understand common social formats (hooks, captions, subtitles, punch-ins, b-roll usage)
Speak clearly and thoughtfully about why certain edits or formats may perform better on social
Suggest small improvements to cuts, timing, or visuals based on current trends
Graphics & Visual Tools
Use
Canva
to create or adapt thumbnails, social graphics, and simple visual assets
Apply existing brand templates and layouts consistently
Make light graphic or text adjustments in Premiere Pro or After Effects
Learn basic motion principles over time (titles, simple animations, transitions)
Production Operations
Organize footage, project files, and exports according to internal standards
Follow established workflows, naming conventions, and deadlines
Collaborate in person with producers, editors, and team members
Take feedback professionally and apply it consistently
What We're Looking ForRequired
0-2 years of video editing experience (professional, internship, or strong personal projects)
Working knowledge of
Adobe Premiere Pro
Basic familiarity with
After Effects
(templates and simple edits)
Competency in Canva
for social graphics and visual assets
Strong awareness of current social media trends and formats
Ability to talk intelligently about what makes content engaging on social platforms
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Reliable, organized, and deadline-conscious
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Experience editing for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts
Familiarity with subtitles, captions, and social-first formatting
Interest in media, creator brands, or digital publishing
Basic understanding of analytics or content performance (not required)
