Description:
The wide format and signage divisions of an ever-growing printing company in Richmond, VA is looking for a Junior Project Manager who can oversee multiple projects from initiation to completion. A successful candidate will handle customer service and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have experience in the wide format and signage industry and understand the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Works with and assists Senior Project Manager with daily duties and special projects
Acts as a liaison between customers and the production department.
Enters and processes orders through the MIS software and has regular telephone interaction with customers.
Receives proofs from file set-up, inspects proofs for accuracy, sends proofs to customers, receives approvals with clear documentation of all approvals or changes
Receives customer inquiries on prospective, current and past orders.
Maintains a daily update of the production schedule and keeps the customer informed about the status of the order.
Prepares and ensures accuracy for all jobs for billing
Requirements:
Ability to work independently
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal instructions, with all key personnel in production process (i.e. sales force, production manager, graphic designer, end-user customer, construction company, installers)
Strong computer skills and knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite products
Must be detail-oriented, organized and maintain professionalism at all times
Strong customer service skills and efficient multi-tasking
Previous wide format printing experience preferred
Previous work experience and sign knowledge preferred
Demonstrate strong ability to problem solve, improve processes and procedures, and operate with a strong, moral code
