Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the design, development, implementation, testing, and documentation of firmware for electronic pipettes.
  • Collaborating with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams to select and program electro-mechanical components (e.g. sensors, motors, etc.).
  • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of firmware design and testing documentation, including requirements, specifications, test plans, and test reports.
  • Working with internal and external resources to enable and test wireless communication and/or mobile application functionality with Rainin\'s products
  • Performing feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, and documentation of new product concepts and improvements to existing products.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • MUST HAVE:
  • Strong knowledge of embedded systems firmware design and testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience programming micro-processors with RTOS in C or C++.
  • Fluent with microprocessor communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART,
  • Experience programming motor controls (DC and stepper)
  • Experience programming peripherals and sensors
  • Able to use basic electrical laboratory tools (e.g. debug probes, oscilloscopes, voltage meter, analyzers)
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • SHOULD HAVE:
  • Experience programming ARM base micro-processors preferably STM
  • USB experience is a nice to have
  • IDE experience, preferably IAR
  • Experience with wireless communication protocols (particularly BLE) and/or mobile applications (IOS or Android) a plus
  • Experience with positional PID motor control
  • Experience with Labview, Python, and Window Programming /.NET are nice to have
  • Industry experience of 1-3 yrs (including internships)
  • Knowledge of software version control management
