About Us

At Express Marketing Solutions, we are a marketing company located in the heart of Torrance. As we expand our company, we are looking for a Full-Stack Backend Engineer to join our Team. This role will support the development of a new technology platform that is currently in its early stages and managed under our marketing company.

Job Overview

In this role, you'll be assisting in designing, building, and maintaining the APIs that power our AI Voice Agent application. You'll ensure that our API layer is secure, scalable, and well-documented, while reviewing and merging code contributions from contractors to maintain a consistent, production-ready codebase. This role is ideal for someone with backend experience, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for building reliable, high-performing systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using the

MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js)

stack. Integrate and manage

RESTful APIs

to ensure smooth communication between services and systems. Design and optimize database schemas using

SQL

and

NoSQL

databases. Collaborate with the development team to design, test, and deploy scalable, maintainable code. Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables. Work with different environments (sandbox, staging, and production) to ensure secure and reliable deployments. Support DevOps-related activities, including version control, CI/CD, and basic automation tasks (plus skill).

Job Requirements

2+ years of professional experience

in full stack web development. Experience with

Salesforce Apex (Java-based)

development (Preferred) Proficiency in the

MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js)

. Hands-on experience with

REST API

development and integration. Experience working with

SQL and NoSQL

databases. Familiarity with

Git

or similar version control systems. Strong understanding of web development fundamentals, debugging, and deployment workflows.
