Job Description

Chalifour's Flowers is looking to hire creative floral designers. This is an entry-level position in floral design. In this role, you will receive hands-on training in assembling floral arrangements and creating bouquets.

The junior designer will be responsible for designing, and assembling floral arrangements to meet our clients' needs and aesthetic preferences. This role requires a strong eye for design, color, and detail, along with excellent customer service skills and a thorough understanding of flower care.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Design and Creation

: Conceptualize and create floral arrangements using company recipes, including bouquets, centerpieces, and decorative displays for a variety of occasions, including weddings, corporate events, holidays, and other special occasions. This also includes ensuring that recipes are written down for all custom or designers choice arrangements.

Customer Interaction

: Consult with clients to understand their vision, budget, and style preferences, ensuring each arrangement meets or exceeds their expectations.

Inventory Management

: Manage and maintain floral inventory, including ordering flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness, and minimizing waste.

Flower Care

: Ensure proper handling, hydration, and preservation of flowers to maintain their quality and longevity.

Display and Presentation

: Arrange and maintain in-store displays to attract and inspire customers and make sure the cooler is stocked with a full selection of company arrangements.

Budgeting

: Work within budgetary guidelines to select flowers and materials, balancing cost with quality.

Event Setup

: Assist with the setup and breakdown of floral arrangements at event locations as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Floral Designer, Florist, or similar role. Strong knowledge of flowers, foliage, and design techniques. Excellent understanding of color theory, floral care, and seasonality. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines. High level of creativity, with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Comfortable working in varied temperature environments (cold storage, outdoor events).
