Junior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated

Junior DevOps Engineer

with a strong interest in cloud infrastructure and automation to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career in AWS DevOps management while working alongside experienced engineers. You will help maintain, optimize, and scale our cloud-based systems to support our business applications and services.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing and maintaining AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.). Support CI/CD pipeline setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Automate routine operational tasks using scripts or infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Monitor system performance, availability, and security using AWS CloudWatch and other observability tools. Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Collaborate with developers to improve deployment efficiency and reliability. Document processes, configurations, and best practices.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC). Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration. Understanding of CI/CD concepts (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar). Some experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, or PowerShell). Knowledge of version control systems (Git). Eagerness to learn and work in a collaborative DevOps environment.

Nice-to-Have (Optional)

Exposure to Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Experience with Docker and containerized environments. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana). Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, firewalls).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
