Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Journeyman Lineman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing high and low voltage electrical lines and systems. This role requires extensive fieldwork, including climbing, bucket operation, and working at heights on utility poles and construction sites. The Journeyman Lineman will ensure the reliable delivery of electrical services while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.

Duties



Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electrical distribution systems using bucket trucks, climbing techniques, and rigging equipment. Perform high voltage and low voltage line work, including cabling, splicing, and termination. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and utility maps to accurately execute construction or repair tasks. Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or installation work. Operate specialized tools such as ohmmeters for testing electrical circuits and systems. Engage in tree trimming around power lines to prevent outages and ensure safety during maintenance activities. Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure all work complies with safety regulations. Assist with troubleshooting electrical issues using diagnostic tools and field service techniques. Maintain a clean work environment on-site while adhering to safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Journeyman Lineman with a strong background in industrial or commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated skills in rigging, cabling, bucket operation, climbing, and bucket truck usage. Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical systems along with NEC standards. Experience in utility locating, blueprint reading, and field service operations. Construction site experience is highly desirable for understanding safety protocols and project execution. Ability to operate an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools effectively. Familiarity with IT infrastructure related to utility operations is a plus. Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy equipment, and perform physically demanding tasks safely. Valid certification as a Journeyman Lineman or equivalent qualification required. Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
