We are seeking a friendly and professional Jewelry Sales Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting clients with product selection, and maintaining an attractive sales floor. This role requires strong communication skills, sales experience, and a passion for jewelry and retail. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base. The Jewelry Sales Clerk will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and driving sales through effective upselling and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience Assist clients in selecting jewelry pieces that meet their preferences and needs Conduct product demonstrations to showcase jewelry features and craftsmanship Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue Maintain visual merchandising standards by organizing displays and stocking shelves appropriately Manage inventory levels by stocking new merchandise and organizing existing stock Perform basic retail math for transactions, discounts, and pricing adjustments Ensure the sales floor remains clean, organized, and inviting at all times Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products and store policies Supervise or assist with other team members as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment

Requirements

Previous retail sales experience, preferably in jewelry or luxury goods Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and cashiering procedures Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional phone etiquette Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is highly desirable Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve a diverse clientele Basic math skills necessary for daily operations including retail math calculations Prior experience in grocery store or similar retail environments is advantageous but not required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
