Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including both routine and specialized cleaning duties in commercial settings. This position is also responsible for running and maintianing the onsite concession stand.

Duties

Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Carry out floor care activities including buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of floors. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations. Provide custodial services in commercial settings, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly. Act as a porter when necessary, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good condition. Inventory food and supplies for concession stand. Prepare and serve food out concession stand window one day a week. Coordinate with team members to order supplies and prepare food.

Requirements

Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not mandatory. Previous experience with food service preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety protocols is essential. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks throughout the shift. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Familiarity with floor care practices and industrial cleaning methods is a plus.
