Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, commercial cleaning, and general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness. Conduct commercial cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met. Carry out facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Assist with industrial cleaning processes in warehouses or production areas as required. Provide porter services by ensuring that all areas are free from debris and clutter. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred. Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is desirable. Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds if necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.80 - $14.75 per hour
