Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a spotless appearance. Conduct routine custodial duties such as dusting, trash removal, window washing, and restroom sanitation to uphold hygiene standards. Operate cleaning equipment like floor buffers, vacuums, and industrial cleaning tools efficiently and safely. Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, offices, restrooms, and other designated spaces according to established protocols. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and ensuring safety hazards are promptly addressed. Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all cleaning activities. Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and maintenance reports to ensure operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to complete special projects such as deep cleans or seasonal upkeep tasks.

Experience

Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care procedures such as buffing and stripping is advantageous. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks like minor repairs or residential painting is a plus. Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safety standards ensures effective performance. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
