Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various settings, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. This role is crucial in upholding our standards of hygiene and cleanliness across commercial, residential, and industrial spaces.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed. Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the overall upkeep of the premises. Respond to cleaning requests in a timely manner to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues to management. Follow safety protocols while using cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Qualifications

Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment. Experience in floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance. Knowledge of residential painting or industrial cleaning is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently. Ability to lift moderate weights and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
