Position Overview

Xplicit Technologies, LLC is seeking a

dedicated, reliable, and highly responsible Resident Janitorial Caretaker

to manage the cleaning, upkeep, and monitoring of the

Lenore Rest Area

operated by the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD).

This is a

unique on-site role

where the selected candidate (and approved spouse/dependents) will be provided a

modern, company-owned single-wide mobile home (built within the last 7 years)

located

directly at the rest area

.

The caretaker MUST live on-site full-time

as part of the position.

This is a high-responsibility role suited for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

On-Site Housing Provided (Free to the Employee)

Xplicit Technologies will provide a

modern, clean, well-maintained single-wide manufactured home

(less than 7 years old) for the caretaker to live in at no cost.

Housing includes:

Private single-wide mobile home meeting ITD housing standards Full utility hookups Stairs/landing, skirting, leveling, and installation Safe, stable year-round housing Ability for spouse and minor children to live onsite (per ITD approval)
Candidates must:

Live on-site full-time Undergo background checks and screenings Agree to adhere to all ITD Housing Policies and caretaker guidelines Maintain the home in orderly condition

not optional

-- on-site residency is required.

Compensation & Benefits

$21.00 per hour

40+ hours per week

(daily workload varies seasonally) All equipment, tools, cleaning materials, chemicals, PPE, and supplies provided Uniforms, high-visibility vest, and ID badges provided Company support, training, and ongoing contract oversight Long-term contract stability (2-year base term with option to extend)

Primary Responsibilities

The Resident Caretaker is responsible for the

daily janitorial, facility maintenance, and grounds upkeep

of the Lenore Rest Area, including:

Daily Cleaning Duties

Clean and sanitize all restrooms (multiple times daily) Refill restroom supplies Clean sinks, toilets, urinals, counters, stalls, mirrors, floors Empty trash cans throughout premises Pick up litter and debris around parking and picnic areas Clean sidewalks and plaza areas Clean drinking fountains Maintain picnic areas and tables (twice daily during summer months)

Weekly Duties

Clean vents, grills, high surfaces Inspect plumbing fixtures Organize utility and storage rooms Restock materials and inventory Minor maintenance tasks (tightening, clearing drains, etc.)

Monthly / Quarterly Duties

Pressure wash exterior surfaces Remove cobwebs from buildings and structures Deep-clean restrooms and floors Gutter cleaning Power scrubbing and resealing of surfaces Report maintenance issues promptly to ITD

Snow Removal Responsibilities

Clear sidewalks, walkways, and building entrances Spread ice melt to maintain safe walking conditions Use company-provided snow blower and tools

Other Caretaker Responsibilities

Maintain daily and weekly cleaning logs Be available for communication with ITD personnel Provide courtesy information to travelers Report vandalism, safety hazards, or maintenance needs Participate in inspections with ITD Uphold all safety and ADA compliance requirements Maintain public-friendly demeanor and professional conduct

Requirements

To qualify, candidates must meet the following:

Minimum Requirements

Must live on-site full-time (mandatory with provided home) Must be at least 18 years old Must be reliable, consistent, and self-motivated Must be physically able to perform daily, outdoor and indoor cleaning tasks Must pass a full background check Must adhere to strict ITD caretaker housing policies Must be capable of working independently Must communicate professionally with ITD staff and the public Must be comfortable performing snow removal Must maintain a clean, organized, and respectful living environment

Preferred

Previous janitorial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or caretaker experience Experience working independently in a facility maintenance role Ability to perform minor non-technical repairs or troubleshooting
