Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces Handle industrial cleaning tasks involving heavy-duty equipment and specialized cleaning agents for larger or more challenging spaces Maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles by emptying and replacing liners regularly Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap dispensers, and other consumables to ensure availability at all times Perform minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for facilities or equipment Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or hazards Assist with residential painting projects or light custodial duties as needed to support facility upkeep Support general facilities maintenance including porter duties like moving furniture or equipment when required

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of commercial and industrial cleaning standards Skilled in floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to achieve professional results Knowledgeable about proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, bending, and reaching comfortably Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues promptly Experience with residential painting or light facilities maintenance is a plus but not required
