Duties

Perform comprehensive cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance. Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of carpets, windows, and hard surfaces to ensure a sanitary environment. Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and restock cleaning materials as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations. Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general facilities upkeep to support overall building maintenance. Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent accidents or hazards. Collaborate with facilities management team to coordinate cleaning schedules and address specific custodial needs promptly. Ensure all areas are compliant with health regulations and sanitation standards at all times.

Qualifications

Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within commercial or residential settings is preferred but not required Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including floor care, industrial cleaning, and general sanitation practices. Familiarity with custodial equipment such as buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, and cleaning tools. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and bending frequently. Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards. Basic understanding of facilities maintenance procedures; experience with minor repairs or painting is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues effectively.
