Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and well-stocked with supplies. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping floors to maintain their appearance and longevity. Handle industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Assist with facilities maintenance duties including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Provide porter services as needed, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment during events or cleaning operations. be able to take pictures and use a app to check in/out be able to go once a week

Qualifications

Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards is a plus. Experience in floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is highly desirable. Knowledge of residential painting is beneficial for maintaining aesthetic standards in facilities. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and maintain high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
