Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of floors, carpets, and surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing sinks, toilets, mirrors, and replenishing supplies regularly. Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and other surfaces to uphold high standards of hygiene. Dispose of trash and recyclables properly across all designated areas. Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify areas needing attention or repair. Perform specialized cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, stripping, waxing, or industrial cleaning when required. Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams. Support facilities maintenance activities like porter services or assisting with setup for events or meetings. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Keep detailed logs of completed tasks and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs promptly.

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial services with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques. Strong understanding of custodial practices including floor care such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks and basic repair skills is a plus. Excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards. Good organizational skills for managing supplies and completing daily routines effectively. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established procedures. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
