Vending - Janitor - Groundskeeper

Riverside Refreshments Inc. is a family-owned local beverage and vending company that has been in business for over ninety years offering, beverage, vending, office coffee service and cafeteria services in two states throughout the Central Savannah River Area.

Schedule:

For this position you must be able to work Monday - Friday, and holidays as business dictates.

Position Summary:

The Full-Time Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout the beverage and vending distribution facility. This includes cleaning warehouses, administrative offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas, as well as restocking breakroom supplies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in creating a safe and welcoming workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock drinks, coffee, and related supplies in employee break areas.



Empty and reline trash cans throughout the facility.



Sweep and mop (Swiffer) floors daily.



Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, and faucets.



Clean and disinfect door handles, light switches, and high-touch surfaces.



Clean and polish mirrors.



Dust ceiling vents and all horizontal surfaces, including tables and soap dispensers.



Detail floor edges, corners, and areas behind toilets.



Spot clean walls, doors, and areas around restrooms.



Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, batteries, and light bulbs.



Replace and tidy "Tidy Girl" (feminine hygiene) bags and dispensers.



Clean baseboards monthly.



Operate motorized floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively.



Canvas parking lot and facility grounds for litter and debris.



Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Operations Manager.



Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.



Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in a warehouse or distribution setting.



Must be able to operate a motorized floor cleaner and other janitorial equipment.



Self-driven, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.



Strong interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.



Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks.



Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.



Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

Work Environment:

This position works primarily indoors in warehouse and office environments, with some outdoor work maintaining parking lots and facility grounds in all weather conditions.
