Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and custodial services, with the ability to perform various maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of commercial, industrial, or residential spaces through efficient cleaning and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across designated areas Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, and carpet cleaning to maintain high standards of cleanliness Maintain restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met Assist with custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively Ensure all work areas are kept organized and stocked with necessary supplies Follow safety protocols related to industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance Support special projects such as residential painting or industrial cleaning as needed

Qualifications

Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
