We are looking for a driven, passionate, highly capable, organized and fun individual to join our field operations team. The Jackson Field Operations Specialist is responsible for providing logistical support and assistance to the Field Operations Manager and Expedition Leaders on our Yellowstone itineraries. This is a contract, field position that requires the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment with many variables.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Be the first line of defense for any on trip issues; foresee scheduling conflicts, manage EL\xe2\x80\x99s requests, develop alternative solutions for trip disruptions + inform vendors of changes as needed
  • Manage any last minute schedule interruptions (bad weather, cancellations, etc)
  • Provide in person assistance to Expedition Leaders and guests when necessary
  • Address any partner relationship issues with Field Operations Manager in a timely manner
  • Acquire, manage + track petty cash transactions
  • Assist with group luggage as needed (pickup + delivery to hotel and into rooms)
  • Work with partners in the field on sustainability, when necessary (Field lunches, etc)
  • Provide shuttle services to guests + EL\xe2\x80\x99s if applicable
  • Assist with rescheduling of meals + informing both EL\xe2\x80\x99s & vendors
  • Work with restaurants to ensure dietary requirements are met
  • Work with hotels to correct rooming issues + provide suitable room types for guests with mobility limitations
  • Work with Field Operation Manager to handle vehicle issues in the field
  • Working with Field Operations Manager to manage any additional season gear needs
  • Complete end-of-season inventory
  • Comply with and promote all safety procedures

TIME & SEASONALITY
While your hours will vary from day to day, it is virtually certain that you will need to work long hours every day in order accomplish our goal of ultimate customer service. It is understood that at times, it takes very early mornings and late evenings to accomplish our goals.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Must currently reside in Jackson, Wyoming or surrounding area
  • Three or more years of operational experience in field
  • Three or more years of customer service experience
  • Proven leadership abilities, including a strong track record of dependability and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Be able to lift items up to 50 pounds
  • Experience working in the travel industry preferred
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean driving record
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR
  • Must abide by all NHA polices regarding COVID-19.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Aside from daily compensation, Nat Hab provides housing outside of your home base, meals while on trip, transportation to/from location for any travel, as well as branded gear.
