Job Title: IT Technician



Job Type: Full-time



Salary: $14-16 per hour



Position Overview:


The IT Technician supports the day-to-day technology operations of our healthcare facility, ensuring reliable performance of clinical and administrative systems. This role provides hands-on technical assistance to staff, maintains hardware and software, and helps ensure a secure, compliant, and efficient technology environment that supports patient care.



Responsibilities:



Provide frontline technical support for computers, printers, phones, mobile devices, and other endpoint equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, networks, and user access.

Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and approved applications.

Support Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other healthcare-specific applications (training provided as needed).

Assist with user onboarding and offboarding: account creation, access permissions, device setup, etc.

Monitor system performance and escalate issues when necessary.

Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching on equipment and software.

Assist with inventory management of IT equipment, including imaging and deployment.

Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, solutions, systems, and procedures.

Support HIPAA compliance by following security protocols and safeguarding protected health information (PHI).

Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to understand and resolve technology-related needs.

Participate in on-call rotation or after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications:



Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or 2 years of relevant IT experience.

Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.

Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn specialized healthcare systems.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow healthcare privacy regulations.

Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Working Conditions:



Primarily on-site role with regular walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.

Occasional after-hours or weekend work for system updates or emergency support.
