We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our technology support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, managing computer systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our customers IT infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of various operating systems and network configurations. The IT Technician will play a vital role in maintaining hardware and software systems, supporting end-users, and implementing security measures across our customers organization.
Duties
Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues
Manage computer systems including installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and servers
Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux
Support network infrastructure including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, and switches
Assist with software troubleshooting using tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and Help Desk systems
Maintain computer hardware components and perform upgrades as needed
Monitor IT infrastructure performance and implement security protocols to protect data integrity
Document incidents and resolutions accurately in ticketing systems
Collaborate with team members to improve existing IT processes and support documentation
Skills
Proven experience in technical support and desktop support roles
Strong knowledge of computer management and hardware troubleshooting
Proficiency with operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications
Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, VLANS, VPNs, firewalls, and operating network devices
Ability to troubleshoot software issues across various platforms effectively
Knowledge of IT infrastructure components and management tools like BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira
Excellent communication skills for effective customer service and end-user training
Understanding of security protocols including VPNs and firewall configurations
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
