Job Description

The Technical Support Specialist will be based out of Troy, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling inbound support requests from our stores, back office or outside sales team. The Technical Support Specialist will be working the majority of the time at our Troy office but will require traveling to our current and future stores.

General Duties Include:


Provide technical support and assistance to employees, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks on employee's computer systems and networks, including installing and configuring software and hardware. Document technical procedures, including hardware and software installation instructions, and troubleshooting guides. Communicate with employees to understand and resolve technical issues, provide training and guidance on software and hardware use, and ensure employee satisfaction. Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, including purchasing new equipment as needed. Ability to work outside of regular business hours as needed to resolve client issues or perform maintenance tasks. Ability to pull, terminate, and test Cat6, AV, Coax, etc. Provide IT support remotely via TeamViewer or LogMeIn (GoTo). Perform computer imaging and configuration as required. Setup or tear down IT equipment at retail stores. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and work on a ladder up to 15'.

This does not include ALL responsibilities; this is just a simple breakdown. Duties can be added or taken away at any given time


Job Requirements:


Proficient with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration Proficient with Microsoft 365 Administration Efficient with Windows operating systems Ability to run and terminate Cat6 cabling Ability to setup and install IT rack and equipment Ability to setup a computer and peripherals Knows entry level networking Schedule: 40 hours a week Monday-Friday, with flexibility on weekend coverage Must be able to sit and work on a computer for 8+ plus hours a day Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) Some experience with Unifi/Ubiquiti equipment Excellent customer service and people skills Ability to meet deadlines, accurately, in a timely manner Organized, able to pay attention to detail, and proper time management Multi-task in a fast-paced team environment Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills

Compensation


Salary:

$50,000 - $55,000 annually based on experience
