The
Information Technology Department
is seeking an
IT Technical Support Analyst 2
to support statewide IT systems and end users. This role provides hands-on system and network support, manages user access, and helps maintain reliable technology operations. Experience with Active Directory, network devices, and customer-focused technical support is required. Experience with broadcast technology, video encoding, or Microsoft, Cisco, or Juniper certifications is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
--------------------------
Four years of experience in information technology; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in information technology; OR
An associate's degree in information technology plus two years of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in information technology; OR
A bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in an information technology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or business analytics field plus one year of experience in information technology; OR
A master's degree plus one year of experience in information technology.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
NOTE:
A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
Provide statewide, onsite installation, configuration, maintenance, repair, and technical support for state-owned IT assets, including computers, servers, network switches, routers, printers, and other related equipment.
Administer and manage user accounts for both local and cloud-based authentication services, ensuring proper access controls and security compliance.
Deliver technical assistance and training to end users, promoting effective system use and serving as a form of preventative maintenance to reduce recurring issues.
Respond appropriately during emergency or disaster situations by supporting continuity of operations in accordance with established and department-approved disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Assist with the support, tracking, and maintenance of the agency's statewide movable property and IT asset database to ensure accurate inventory records.
Provide professional, customer-focused technical support while troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
